We were not paid to write this, systeme.io had no input into it and did not see it before publication, and every price below is quoted from their own pricing page rather than from anything they sent us. Our full affiliate disclosure explains how this works.
How we researched this: Every figure in this article was read from systeme.io’s public pricing page and its pricing FAQ on 14 September 2026. We have not run structured hands-on testing of systeme.io, we do not operate a business on it, and nothing below is presented as personal experience or as a judgement about how well the product performs.
The short answer
systeme.io bundles sales funnels, email marketing, online courses, a blog and an affiliate programme into one subscription, and its free plan is unusually generous: 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, three sales funnels and no credit card. Paid plans start at $17 per month.
The interesting question is not whether the free plan is good — it is. It is what you are actually buying when you leave it, because the jump from free to Startup is about contact volume and funnel count, not about unlocking the features you were missing.
systeme.io pricing on 14 September 2026
| Plan | Monthly | Contacts | Sales funnels | Courses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2,000 | 3 | 1 |
| Startup | $17 | 5,000 | Unlimited | 5 |
| Webinar | $47 | 10,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Unlimited | $97 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
systeme.io advertises two months free on annual billing, but the pricing page displays only the monthly figures — it does not show the yearly totals, and we did not proceed to checkout to confirm them. Treat any annual number you see quoted elsewhere as unverified until you see it on the payment screen.
What the free plan actually includes
Taken from systeme.io’s own pricing FAQ, the free plan gives you 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 blog, 1 course, 1 affiliate programme and 1 custom domain. Emails and file storage are unlimited, and no credit card is required to start.
Three things are worth pulling out, because they are what make this different from most free tiers:
- Unlimited emails on the free plan. Most email platforms meter sends. systeme.io meters contacts instead, so 2,000 contacts emailed daily costs the same as 2,000 contacts emailed once a month — nothing.
- A custom domain on the free plan. You are not stuck on a vendor subdomain, which is usually the first thing a free tier takes away.
- No transaction fees on any plan, including free. If you sell a course through it, systeme.io does not take a cut on top of the payment processor’s.
Where the free plan actually stops
The ceiling is contacts and funnels, not features. You will hit it when your list passes 2,000 people or when you need a fourth funnel — not when you need a capability the free plan withheld. That is the opposite of how most freemium software is structured, and it means the free plan stays genuinely usable for longer than the marketing would make you assume.
It also means the upgrade decision is unusually easy to model: you are buying headroom, so the question is simply whether 5,000 contacts is worth $17 a month to you.
All-in-one versus assembling the same stack yourself
The case for systeme.io is not that any single part of it beats the specialist tool. It is that one $17 subscription replaces several. It is worth being concrete about what that comparison looks like at a small scale, using prices we have verified ourselves.
Take a solo operator with a 5,000-person list who sells one course. On systeme.io that is the Startup plan at $17 per month, with the funnels, the course and the email sending included. Assembled separately, the email tool alone is usually the biggest line: our Kit review covers what that platform charges once a list outgrows its free tier, and you would still need something to host the course and something to build the funnel.
The honest counterweight: specialist tools are specialists. A dedicated email platform gives you deliverability tooling, segmentation and automation depth that an all-in-one generally does not match, and a dedicated course platform gives you a better student experience. Whether that matters depends entirely on whether those things are the centre of your business or a side function of it.
Who each plan fits
- Free — someone validating an offer, or running a list under 2,000 with a handful of funnels. Genuinely a product, not a trial, and there is no credit card to forget about.
- Startup ($17) — a solo operator past validation with a list between 2,000 and 5,000 who wants unlimited funnels. This is the plan most people on this page are actually deciding about.
- Webinar ($47) — only if automated webinars are part of how you sell. If they are not, the contact bump alone rarely justifies the jump from Startup.
- Unlimited ($97) — a list large enough that contact caps have become the binding constraint, plus the migration help if you are moving off something else.
Checking the current numbers. systeme.io changes plan limits from time to time, and the figures above are dated to the day we read them. Before you sign up, check systeme.io’s current plans and limits — that is an affiliate link, as disclosed at the top of this article.
What we could not verify
- The annual prices. systeme.io states two months free on annual billing but does not display the yearly totals on its pricing page, and we did not go through checkout.
- Deliverability. We have not sent email through systeme.io and make no claim about inbox placement, which is the single most important variable in any email platform and the hardest to verify from outside.
- Automation depth, template quality, page-builder behaviour or support responsiveness. None of these can be judged from a pricing page and we have not tested them.
- Whether plan limits differ by region. We only checked the US dollar view.
- Any comparison of performance against the specialist tools named above. We have compared cost structure, not quality.
